CComSciO (Corpus de Communications Scientifiques Orales)
This corpus consists of academic conference presentations in French, delivered in three disciplines within the Humanities and Social Sciences (Linguistics, Information and Communication Sciences, and Language Didactics). It was compiled as part of my PhD research (Lee, 2024).
Part of the linguistics subcorpus originates from the EIIDA corpus (Carter-Thomas & Jacques, 2017). Compilation of the corpus was partially funded by the CORLI consortium and the LIDILEM laboratory. Transcription, segmentation, and text–speech alignment were carried out in collaboration with Agnès Tutin, Nicolas David, Roxanne Comotti, and Solène Lucas.
It is now available on the Lexicoscope 2.0 platform, which allows users to consult spoken or written corpus and carry out lexicometric searches. Reformatting into CONLLU and syntactic annotation were performed by Océane Vallot, as part of a bachelor’s internship, using a combination of the Rhapsodie models (for LEMMA and UPOS) and the GSD models (for HEAD and DEPREL) from Stanza.
Note: Audio recordings are not available for certain conference presentations (cf. metadata ‘N’), due to the lack of authorization.
